We had another appointment for Isabelle in Fresno this week regarding her reflux. For the most part her symptoms have subsided (the spitting up & uncontrollable hiccups), but her stomach has been hurting her. She has also been struggling with allergies the last couple of weeks which make her reflux symptoms act up. That explains the stomach aches. We are starting her back up on the daily claritin and doubling her Aciphex medicine until we get her allergies under control. Once her allergies are gone, then we can go back to a single dose of the Reflux medicine. We'll go back in 3 months for a check-up. My concern is that she will have to take medicine for this for the rest of her life. I really don't like that, but I also don't want her to be in pain from this either. My prayer is that she outgrows this and/or the medicine will heal her. We are VERY blessed to have such a wonderful girl, though. She rarely complains, takes her medicine easily and is just an easy kid when it come to all this new & sometimes scary medical stuff. I love her so much it hurts!
Did you know it's National Turn off the TV week? I had no idea until Isabelle's school had all the kids sign a pledge that they would turn off the TV. It couldn't come at a better time, because my kids have been watching too much TV. They know all too well how to work the TVs, video games and computers. I do know that as much as they love TV they also love to play outside, pretend, games, puzzles, dress-up and the list goes on!
