May 2013

I love May, because it's starting to get warm, it's our anniversary month, school is almost out….

We planned a trip with my brother & his wife to go to Vegas.  I've never been, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it.  We had a blast.  We ate good food, we drank, we saw Le Reve, we met up with friends that were also there, we laid by the pool.

We definitely want to go back.  There's just so much to see and do, and it's really fun people watching.

That same week we got back, my brother was shot in the line of duty at work.  It was one of the scariest few minutes of my life when I got the call, but didn't know if he survived.  To hear my niece say "he's alive" was the best phrase I had ever heard.  I'm thankful everyday for my brother, that God protected him, that he's back at work.  I'm so thankful to all police officers who put their lives on the line and their families that live with that truth everyday.

I'm so glad Chloe's birthday and graduation were so soon after the shooting.  It was good to have a celebration.  Chloe turned 5!  She had a boingos birthday with her friends.  She loved it, and I loved that I didn't have to do anything but show up!  She got a bike for her birthday, since she outgrew the other one and Isabelle's old one was too big.  She's a little speed racer!

I realize that it's been quite a while since I've updated my blog.  So much has happened that I really can't remember.
MARCH 2013 - Isabelle turned 10.  One decade.  Double Digits.  Pre-Tween or is that Tween?  I don't know.
She had her first slumber party with 3 of her best friends.  They had pizza, junk food, sodas, watched movies, and slept out back in a tent.  She saved all her money and we went on a day trip with our friends to the American Girl Store to purchase her very own doll.  The days was so fun, with lots of bonding.  That we will definitely do again!

Over Spring Break, Isabelle decided to stick her pinky finger in the hole for the Little Tikes slide.  Long story short, we had to go to the ER to get it cut off.  Lesson learned.

March - April was a terrible month of sickness for everyone.  Lots of fevers and throwing up that lasted for days.
APRIL 2013 - soccer, sickness, a lot of hanging out at home
